This Prosumer Video Kit consists of the 745MF3 MDeVe tripod, the 701RC2 video head, and a tripod case.

MDeVe tripods are the ideal MiniDV, DV8, or lightweight HDTV camera support, combining the panoramic leveling half-ball of professional video tripods with the compact structure of the photographic tripod. The built-in leveling half ball is located at the top of the extendable center column; it is locked and unlocked using the grip twist at the bottom of the column. Because the head attachment plate is flat with a standard 3/8-inch screw, any flat-based head can be mounted on an MDeVe--be it a fluid video head, a photographic three-way, ball, or pano head such as Manfrotto's 303PLUS. In pano/qtvr photography, the leveling ball is also especially useful as it allows for faster tripod setup and more precise pano images.

Small and lightweight, the 701RC2 fluid video and spotting scope head is capable of accommodating a payload of up to 8.8 pounds, and is ideal for set-ups such as a fully equipped 3-CCD mini DV camcorder or a spotting scope combined with a digital still or video camera for digiscoping purposes. It is equipped with a fixed 3.3 pound counterbalance spring which combined with a camera plate attachment made of a 200PL touch-and-go/sliding plate which can shift from +15mm to -15mm from the 0 point to optimize the position of the counterbalance spring and deliver a wide range of balancing positions.

The kit also includes tripod shoes and a padded, tapered carry case. Specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders used by documentary and industrial videographers.
